February 11,2007 - Preparing for the 2007 season
With the first practice on March 3rd only a couple weeks away, Bennett Racing is hard at work preparing the car for the first practice of the year. This year, Bennett Racing will be running a 2007 Dodge Charger body. "I am excited for this year after finishing last year on such a good note", says Sean Bennett. Bennett Racing will have some returning sponsors. They are Bennett Excavation and Dave Bennett Construction.
March 23, 2007 - New Sponsors
Bennett Racing is proud to welcome the addition of two new sponsors just in time for tomorrow's season opening race. Bryant Burgeson of Kadtec Engineering specializes in home planning and architechture. Pete Shaver of Shaver Auto Center, your Kia, Jeep and Chrysler dealer for San Bernardino. "We look forward to developing a lasting advertising partnership with Shaver Auto Center and Kadtec. You couldn't meet two better guys", states Sean Bennett.
March 26, 2007 - First Race in the books
With a field of over 40 cars, Sean Bennett of Bennett racing, qualified 21st for opening night. With some very impressive passing moves in the main event, Sean finished 12th to almost break the top ten. Sean explains, "We were a little loose in qualifying which we adjusted for the main event. The car handled great in the main which allowed us to gain so many positions. Our goal for next race is to qualify better and break the top ten."
April 3, 2007 - 5th in points after two races
Goal attained! After qualifying 10th, Sean Bennett raced his way passed five more cars to gain a 5th place finish. "The car was on rails", said his wife Teri. "I've never seen him drive so good. Especially when he passed two cars in one lap!"
April 30, 2007 - Top Ten ain't bad!
After a mishap in qualifying when the car popped out of gear, Sean Bennett took his #4 Dodge Charger from 13th to a top ten. Sean stated, "We had a little trouble being loose which we thought was due to track conditions. Turned out our right rear spring was flat as a pancake." Sean still maintains his status as fifth in points going into the fourth race.
